Betty and Barney Rubble are fictional characters in the popular animated TV show The Flintstones. Betty and Barney are interesting characters and have an equally interesting relationship with each other and other characters.

Betty Rubble was in fact Betty McBricker. Betty is very good friends with Wilma Flintstone and will often spend most of the day gossiping with her. It is very rare for Betty to take the initiative in any of the activities that happen and she is often seen simply following what Wilma does. The only known family that Betty has is her husband Barney and their adopted son Bam Bam.

Barney Rubble is the best friend of Fred Flintstone. While Barney doesn’t really create any of the schemes he is often in he does not seem to put up much resistance. There are many things that Barney seems to like to do. These will include playing golf, bowling, playing pool and tinkering in Fred’s garage. In addition to these things Barney is also a talented drummer and pianist.

Betty and Barney Rubble have always been a married couple in the TV show. Betty and Barney actually met in a club where Betty was working. Their marriage is very different to their friends the Flintstones. Barney never shows any interest in any other women and has never been shown with other women.

Betty and Barney have a child named Bam Bam although he is not their biological child. Betty and Barney found Bam Bam on their doorstep. After a long court case the couple was able to adopt Bam Bam.

Even though Betty and Barney Rubble are not the main characters in the TV show they appear in they are a wonderful couple. They show a great love and fondness for each other that their friends’ relationship does not.
