The story of Tramp and Lady is a timeless one filled with adventure and a disregard of social levels. The characters Lady and Tramp are also very powerful by themselves. Their personalities and back stories give depth to their story.

Tramp is a stray silver mutt who spends his life living from one moment to the next. He does not have any family and spend the time when he is not begging for scraps looking after Peg and Bull, his fellow strays. Tramp’s greatest enemy would be the local dog catcher who is always trying to catch Tramp and his friends.

Lady comes from a very different world to Tramp. Lady is a cocker spaniel who lives rather comfortably with Jim Dear and his wife Darling. She has two friends Jock and Trusty who are a Scottish terrier and a bloodhound.

Tramp and Lady meet through a series of bad events. These bad things start with Jim Dear and Darling having a baby. After the baby is born they go on a trip leaving Aunt Sarah in charge of both the baby and Lady. Unfortunately this means that Aunt Sarah brings her Siamese cats with her. When Lady clashes with the cats Aunt Sarah takes her to the pet shop and muzzles her. Lady runs away but ends up being chased by stray dogs. This is when Tramp sees her and saves the day.

After saving Lady Tramp tricks a beaver into taking her muzzle off. That night he shows Lady what it’s like to live as he does and it ends with a candle lit dinner. However on the way home another series of events occurs that eventually lead to Tramp being sent to the pound. Luckily everything works out for them in the end.

Tramp and Lady are two characters that show that love can transcend such things like social class. Their love story shows that even seeming opposites can attract.
