Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman met in Los Angeles in January of 2005. Urban was single and Kidman had been divorced from former husband Tom Cruise since 2001. Both Kidman and Urban were born elsewhere and raised in Australia; the two Aussies made an instant connection and began to date.

From the public’s perspective, their relationship began to move quickly: rumors about the couple stated that they spent the 2005 holiday season together in Nashville, along with their parents. While magazines showcased photographs of Nicole wearing a suspicious looking diamond ring in November of 2005, the couple did not publicly announce their engagement until May of 2006. June 21st of that same year, Nicole Kidman held her bachelorette party. Fiance Keith held his bachelor party just two days later, a low key get together at a local Aussie bar.

Then, on June 25th, 2006, thirty-nine year old Nicole Kidman married then thirty-eight year old Keith Urban. The ceremony boasted a thousand candles, fresh flowers and a view of the Pacific Ocean via Sydney Harbor. According to guests, which ranged from Hugh Jackman to Neil Finn, it was a touching, romantic tribute to the couple in love.

True to their socially conscious nature, they requested that guests not bring gifts and instead, donate to Sydney Children’s Hospital in honor of the union. Philanthropic behavior is common from these stars. Reportedly, at one time, the usually highly private stars went as far as giving a cold case of twenty-four Victoria Bitter beers to paparazzi who were camping outside their home.

Still, the story of Mr. And Mrs. Urban’s love would not be complete without the arrival of Sunday Rose Kidman Urban. Born July 7th 2008, Sunday Rose is Kidman’s first biological daughter(Isabella and Connor Cruise were adopted in her previous marriage) as well as Urban’s first child. Urban would later explain on the Ellen Degeneres Show that Sunday Rose was named for the void she filled on lonely Sundays during a time before Keith had Nicole and a family of his own.
