Tom Cruise, born on July 3rd 1962, is a famous actor from the United States. Born in Syracuse, New York, he became active in 1981 and is still acting in a number of well known movies. He has also participated in the production of various films himself and has also won three Academy Awards and as many as three Golden Globe Awards during his impressive career.

Tom Cruise has certainly had years of acting experience, his first main role being that in the classic film ‘Risky Business’. His next most famous film was Top Gun, which was released in 1986. After that he went on to perform the main role in the well known Mission Impossible series where he played a secret agent.

Tom Cruise is enormously popular and his filmography is also particular impressive. His personal life and achievements has been the focus of many celebrity and social magazines for a number of years. With Nicole Kidman, he had two adopted children, but with his current and highly publicised relationship with Katie Holmes, he had a daughter in 2006.

Katie Holmes, born on December 18th, 1978, is also a well known actress. In spite of being sixteen years younger than Tom Cruise, the couple married in 2006. Katie Holmes is most famous for her senior role in the American television drama, Dawson’s Creek. She also went on to star in a number of slightly lesser known films. Originally with the actor, Chris Klein, she started to date Tom Cruise in April of 2005.
